Blue Springs Carpark and Access Road

This project brought together a sensitive wetland environment, a treasured local asset, critical water infrastructure needs and time constraints. Keir Projects worked alongside South Waikato District Council and Graymatter to engage with Raukawa, Waikato Regional Council and Local Stakeholders to revitalise this destination.

The wetland environment required weekly inspections from regional council and monitoring by Raukawa. Keir Projects staged the works to have minimal impact on the wetland, transplanting trees and plants into unplanted areas and ensuring that the access track blended in to the surrounding environment.

This project involved a range of different construction requirements and stakeholders. The Keir Projects team brought these elements together and offered solutions at every stage. We provided the confidence that it could be built, that the wetland would be protected and that the finished product would be an asset to be proud of.

With the support of South Waikato District Council, Raukawa and Graymatter this project achieved all of its intended outcomes.
